Memories from the days of small shows in the basement of the Barf and Spill (Bar and Grill):

I've been on an itunes binge for my musical roots. Most of the bands that I used to LOVE in high school were, how do I say...not really conducive to the spirit. I basically purged my entire music collection pre and post mission of some of my favorite music. Well...I guess I shouldn't be happily restocking my computer with said non-spiritual tunes, but I'm keeping it to my very favorite songs and the songs that are uplifting to me.

Oh the memories are flooding in, mostly good, which makes me happy. It's interesting to me how much music can influence our lives. I have experienced some pretty joyful influence from the following bands from my past:

I love face to face, I listened to the album "Don't Turn Away" incessantly for about 6 months.

I LOVE The Offspring's "Ignition" album. Oh so good, this acoustic version of dirty magic is awesome!

And of course the Beasties. I can't properly express my love for the Beastie Boys. "So What'cha Want," enough said. I still secretly want to marry Adam Horovitz.
